Job summary

Schneller is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and logistics activities, ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-efficient movement of materials and finished goods to meet customer requirements.

The role directly oversees Shipping staff, plans staffing, manages performance, and coordinates with Operations to align shipping with production schedules and financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of shipping, logistics, or related experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience.
• 3–5 years of experience leading operational improvement initiatives.
• Experience coordinating parcel, LTL, TL, and international transportation.
• Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and customer/carrier portals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates Company values and promotes safety, quality, customer service, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Provides direct supervision and leadership to Shipping employees, including setting expectations, assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring performance, coaching and feedback, and supporting employee development.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, training, performance reviews, attendance, and employee accountability.
• Plans staffing and allocates resources based on production schedules, shipping requirements, workload, and priorities.
• Establishes and monitors KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, cost, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery; identifies gaps and implements corrective actions.
• Directs daily Shipping activities to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time, and that documentation and inventory records are correct.
