Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Shipping Manager for its Appleton, WI warehouse. The role leads a 1st shift team of 9+ associates, coordinating loading, stocking, and order fulfillment while ensuring safety and compliance with PPE, OSHA, and DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Strong background in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
• 2+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
• Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems; HighJump and Dispatch Track preferred but teachable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications.
• Strong attention to detail, leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple demands.
• Excellent communication skills and team management ability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 9+ warehouse associates on a 1st shift starting at 7:30AM.
• Assist drivers loading trucks for 1st and 2nd runs in temperamental conditions.
• Maintain space, cleanliness, and orderly operations in the warehouse.
• Hire, train, and develop a productive warehouse staff.
• Coordinate unloading and stocking inbound shipments and picking/shipping outbound orders with accuracy.
• Ensure warehouse security and associate safety; report accidents to branch management.
• Assist associates with picking processes.
• Comply with safety regulations including PPE usage and weight limits (400 lbs cap).
