Hachette Book Group is seeking a Warehouse Associate to prepare orders for shipment and manage dock pallets at our distribution center in Indiana. You will log freight, scan cartons, and ensure pallets are correctly staged and delivered to the proper lanes.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and experience with forklifts or pallet jacks. Team collaboration and reliable attendance are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare orders for shipping by logging freight into the system and scanning cartons to the correct dock spots.
• Wrap and restage completed dock pallets.
• Deliver completed pallets to designated lanes.
• Load trucks per supervisor/manager directions.
• Report issues to supervisor or manager.
• Sweep and clean the dock area after dispatching cartons.
• Set up next day’s dock spots with pallets and sheets.
