Job summary

Hachette Book Group in Lebanon, IN is seeking a Computer Operations Analyst to provide technical support and administration for infrastructure, systems, and applications that support Indiana Distribution and Returns Centers.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain reliability, troubleshoot hardware/software, support warehouse technology, and contribute to performance and security of the technology environment.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux in production environments.
• Experience supporting virtualization/hypervisor platforms in production.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Experience in RF systems, enterprise backups, or warehouse automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Linux Red Hat server environments and virtualization platforms.
• Support Windows operating systems, including desktop and server environments.
• Assist in administration of RF production floor systems.
• Support warehouse automation technologies (WMS, conveyors, pick-to-light, transportation).
• Provide hardware and software support to end users and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and applications.
• Assist with Active Directory administration and user support.
• Perform patch management for Linux and VMware; assist with Windows patching.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and security.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to meet operational goals.
