Job summary

Hachette Book Group warehouse picker position: cut cartons, replenish pick faces, label and locate cartons for customer fulfillment in an open carton/conveyor environment using Pick-To-Voice, WMS/WMT, and RF units to locate and prepare orders.

This role emphasizes high attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate Walkie Rider or counterbalance equipment, with equal opportunity employment and on-site shift work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform repetitive work and maintain accuracy.
• Experience with WMS/WMT technologies is preferred.
• Experience with Pick-To-Voice technology helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long hours.
• Able to climb stairs or ladder to 4 ft repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain productivity to achieve 1-day turnaround of all orders.
• Master PTV picking technology, WMT technology and stay attentive to issues of customer satisfaction.
• Report all system problems, damages and errors to Coordinator, Lead or Supervisor.
• May work in groups with the Coordinator to shift into unfinished tasks throughout the warehouse.
• Reliability—must be dependable in working established shift schedules.
• Operate Walkie Rider and/or Stand-up Counterbalance equipment.
