Job summary

CMI Group Aerospace & Defense is hiring a Shipping Team Member for a full‑time day shift at our Phoenix, AZ facility. You will assist with shipping, maintain inventory, and coordinate with Quality and Production to meet daily needs.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities include updating WIP, preparing shipments, and ensuring adherence to customer delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, lift, reach, grasp, bend, stoop, squat and/or walk the majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
• Excellent attendance.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to follow instructions & willingness to learn.
• Due to ITAR requirements, must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Basic computer skills (email, web navigation, data entry).
• ERP/MRP system experience.
• Logistics knowledge (FedEx, UPS, Freight Services).
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assists OSP with shipping when carrier services are involved.
• Maintains finished goods inventory—weekly cycle counting.
• Coordinates/communicates with Quality and Production on daily needs.
• Assists with WIP movement updates.
• Communicates updates to customers as required (end of day ship list and tracking detail).
• Packages parts for shipment or inventory.
• Verifies and adheres to customer delivery requirements.
