Job summary

A&G is hiring for our Shipping Department at a private aerospace manufacturing company in Washington. We are seeking hardworking individuals to join our growing team and help ship goods produced.

Responsibilities include determining shipment methods, arranging carrier pickups, affixing labels, recording weights and charges, maintaining shipping materials, and ensuring traceability and safety in a shop and office environment.

Qualifications

• Aerospace experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to understand customer requirements as stated in purchase orders.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the shipment of goods produced.
• Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Arrange for pickup by the carrier.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
• Post weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
• Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and follow safety regulations.
• Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Maintain traceability as required by customer requirements.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
