Job summary

Dexter is a leading manufacturer and distributor of axles and towing components in the United States. We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator who works hands-on in a fast-paced warehouse, coordinating with drivers and office staff to plan, load, and deliver shipments correctly.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of shipping experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience scheduling loads, working with carriers, or coordinating freight.
• Clear communication — can give direction and explain issues.
• Comfortable handling problems with employees or customers.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office 365).
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Safety-minded and quality-focused every day.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in high-volume shipping environments.
• Willing to work flexible hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee outbound shipments and daily truck loads.
• Build daily shipping plans, set priorities, and keep freight moving on time.
• Coordinate large or special shipments to meet customer and order needs.
• Track shipments and fix issues when delays or problems come up.
• Keep accurate shipping records, logs, and schedules.
• Document customer issues and resolutions.
• Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and internal teams throughout the day.
• Help with training records and basic reporting.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
• Handle other tasks or projects as needed to support operations.
