Job summary

Advant is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, manifesting shipments, staging, and coordinating with drivers and project teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The position reports to the Operations Manager within the Millwork department and requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a valid driver’s license. This is an on-site Houston role with non-exempt pay status.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to UPS, FedEx, contractors, installers, and Project Managers.
• Communicate updates or changes to carriers, contractors, installers, and Project Managers effectively.
• Prepare shipping manifests.
• Pick, check, and package customer orders.
• Work with the Operations Manager to configure product layout.
• Initiates problem solving when needed.
• Plan and schedule shipments based on customer orders and jobsite needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the shipping department.
• Resolve all shipping related issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide training and knowledge as needed.
• Support Supply Chain financial impact by improving productivity and profitability.
