Job summary

SIS, an EIS company in Canton, GA, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to prepare outgoing orders, maintain accurate shipping documentation, and coordinate shipments to meet customer deadlines. This hands-on role combines packing, data entry, and collaboration with internal teams and carriers.

You will verify products and paperwork, enter tracking information, and help resolve shipping issues. A high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills are required; schedule is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm,

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong attention to detail when checking quantities, shipping addresses, labels, and documentation.
• Comfort using computers for data entry, shipping records, and online carrier systems.

Responsibilities

• Review daily shipping priorities, verify product quantities, and securely pack and label outgoing orders.
• Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, Bills of Lading, and required certifications, confirming that Quality documentation is complete before shipment.
• Coordinate parcel and LTL shipments, including carrier scheduling and pickups through services such as FedEx and UPS.
• Enter tracking information, maintain shipment records, and resolve discrepancies, shipping questions, and returned shipments with the appropriate teams.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and other finishing activities when shipping tasks are complete.
