Job summary
SIS, an EIS company, is seeking a Shipping Clerk in Canton, GA. The role focuses on preparing outgoing orders, verifying quantities, and securely packing and labeling shipments to meet customer deadlines.
You will prepare packing slips, labels, Bills of Lading, and required certifications, ensuring complete quality documentation before shipment. You’ll coordinate parcel and LTL shipments with FedEx and UPS, enter tracking data, and maintain shipment records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
- Six months of related shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with quantities, addresses, labels, and docs
- Comfort using computers for data entry and tracking
- Experience with shipping docs and carriers is helpful
Responsibilities
- Review daily shipping priorities and verify product quantities
- Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, Bills of Lading, and certifications
- Coordinate parcel and LTL shipments with carriers (FedEx/UPS)
- Enter tracking information and maintain shipment records
- Resolve discrepancies with internal teams and support finishing activities after shipping
