Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Middleburg Heights, OH is hiring a Shipping Loader/Unloader. This role focuses on preparing products for delivery and reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

Starting pay is $20 per hour and involves a fast-paced production setting. Responsibilities include loading/unloading glass, assembling crates, labeling and packing, weighing and measuring products, and performing clerical tasks using RF equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
• Plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).

Responsibilities

• On/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily
• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment
• Weighing, measuring and counting product
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment
• Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damaged
