Job summary

The Jay Group in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Shipping Clerk to coordinate and manage the flow of products from the warehouse to customers. You will ensure on-time deliveries, prepare shipping documents, and communicate with carriers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include processing outgoing shipments with Manhattan WMS, verifying labels, handling Hazcomm shipments, and assisting with BOL creation. A detail-oriented, organized candidate with warehouse experience thrives in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift or warehouse equipment certification is preferred. If not certified willingness to learn is preferred.
• 6 months – 1 year of experience in a shipping role in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment strongly preferred.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Strong multi tasking skills while meeting daily deadlines.
• Experience in managing freight shipments and BOL.
• Hazcom training preferred.
• TRS experience beneficial for carrier scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Processes outgoing shipments using Manhattan WMS and carrier software.
• Examines shipments to ensure specifications are met.
• Identifies and sorts small parcel labels by carrier.
• Identifies hazardous packages requiring additional handling.
• Prepares Hazcom shipping documentation.
• Loads trucks as required.
• Creates Bills of Lading (BOL).
• Attaches shipping labels to packed cartons.
• Upholds Jay Group core values.
