Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Claremore, OK, is seeking a Material Controller Lead for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30 PM–11 PM). You’ll direct shipping activities to meet customer requests, coordinate with traffic, and manage loading outbound shipments using forklifts and cranes.

The role includes inventory control, safety compliance, and ensuring accurate paperwork. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of shipping experience, ability to read measuring tools, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years relevant shipping or loading experience.
• Ability to accurately read tape measures and micrometers.
• Ability to stand 90% of time.
• Able to work outside in extreme heat or cold.
• Able to operate forklift, overhead cranes, hand and banding tools.
• Must be accurate in logging inventory transactions.
• The ability to work overtime when required for business needs.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of Valmont’s shipping process.

Responsibilities

• Gather parts, move, and load material to complete orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Loading and unloading product in route to and from galvanizer, staging, and loading for shipment.
• Load truck trailers; know product and weight to ensure proper loading.
• Accurately process bills of lading and shipping orders.
• Operate forklift, banding tools, and overhead crane.
• Assist with cycle counts and material moves from staging to storage.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
