Job summary

Valmont Industries in Claremore, OK is seeking a Material Controller Lead for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM). You will supervise shipping activities, coordinate with traffic, load outbound shipments, and verify bills of lading while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Essential duties include loading, unloading, and loading for shipment, operating forklift and crane, and ensuring safe, compliant loading. Requires 3+ years shipping experience and MS Office skills; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years shipping or loading experience.
• Ability to read tape measures and micrometers.
• Ability to stand 90% of time.
• Able to work outside in extreme heat or cold.
• Able to operate forklift, overhead cranes, hand and banding tools.
• Accurate in logging inventory transactions.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of Valmont’s shipping process.

Responsibilities

• Gather parts, move, and load material to complete orders accurately and timely.
• Load/unload product for routing to galvanizer, staging, and shipment.
• Load truck trailers and ensure proper product weight for loading.
• Process bills of lading, shipping orders, and related paperwork.
• Operate forklift, banding tools, and overhead crane.
• Assist with cycle counts and material moves from staging to storage.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
