Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Shipping Lead in Cedar Hill, TX, to assist the Shipping Manager and help run the shift. This internal promotion-ready role requires coordinating daily reports, load planning, and distribution activities to ensure timely, accurate shipments.

Qualifying internal candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, two years in manufacturing, and preferred corrugated industry experience. Strong reading, writing, and numerical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor with running Daily Reports (Backlog, OTD, Trailer Utilization, Dispatch/Load Plan).
• Assist Supervisor in reviewing/investigating customer complaints (Shipping).
• Assist Load Planning by combining orders.
• Monitor daily inbound/outbound distribution.
• Assist with deleting load tags; maintain warehouse inventory counts.
