Job summary

Emerald Isle Foods is seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee outbound shipping in a high-volume cross-dock warehouse. You will motivate a team of selectors and drivers, organize workflow, and ensure accurate, timely shipments using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The role requires 3–5 years in shipping/warehousing with 2+ years supervisory experience, familiarity with HACCP/USDA-FDA guidelines, and forklift/equipment proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3–5 years of experience in shipping/warehousing with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, USDA/FDA guidelines and food safety protocols.
• Proficient in operating stand-up and reach forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics and multi-language skills (English, Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Motivates and directs order selectors, loaders, and sorters.
• Organizes and oversees workflow for shift employees.
• Assigns and monitors tasks using computers and scanners.
• Promotes and enforces safe work practices.
• Maintains and provides accurate warehouse documentation.
• Meets productivity and output standards for the shift.
• Ensures warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Oversees timely completion of routes and intercompany transfers.
• Acts as liaison between Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, Sales, Maintenance, Dispatch, and Transportation.
• Assists with process improvements and facility expansions.
