Job summary

Distribution Management seeks a Shipping Lead in Carlisle, PA for the evening shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM), Monday to Friday. You will oversee daily shipping operations, coordinate with the supervisor to set priorities, and mentor new employees.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Punctual with good attendance.
Experience in a distribution center or warehouse preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete the pre-shift checklist (e.g., turn on chucks, gather supplies).
Work with supervisor to assign daily priorities and participate in shift meetings.
Inspect outbound shipments for accuracy and quality; track variances.
Mentor new employees with an on-site trainer and ensure SOPs and DC policies are followed.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; promote safety and OSHA standards.
When volume demands, assist in picking orders and assembling shipments.
