Job summary

Four Hands in Austin, TX is seeking a Shipping Lead to coordinate daily shipping operations, supervise associates, and ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately, safely, and on time. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and support process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in warehouse or shipping leadership, strong communication and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Excel and a warehouse management system, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of warehouse, distribution, shipping, or lead experience.
• Experience with shipping operations, inventory control processes, and warehouse management systems
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and promote safe, efficient operations.
• Assist in supervising, training, and coaching Shipping Associates on your shift.
• Coordinate outbound shipping, ensuring orders are picked, packed, staged, and loaded on time.
• Verify shipments against sales orders, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
• Process inventory transactions and ensure accurate shipment confirmations in the WMS.
• Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies, shortages, damages, and order exceptions.
• Ensure SOPs, product handling standards, and safety requirements are followed.
• Coordinate with Transportation to ensure loads are prepared and dispatched on time.
• Lead daily stand-up meetings to review safety, performance, and workload priorities.
• Support warehouse productivity, quality, shipping accuracy, and on-time delivery goals.
