Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Department Lead to partner with the Production Supervisor and other managers to meet goals for productivity, quality, delivery, and safety on the production floor.

You will train employees, direct work, and drive operational efficiency while upholding Lean practices and a collaborative culture; schedule is Mon–Fri 7am–3:30pm, with a strong emphasis on safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role.
• Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem solver with attention to detail and adherence to OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department to meet productivity, quality, delivery, and safety goals.
• Train employees and direct department work.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and other leads to prioritize jobs and meet schedules.
• Enforce standardized work, procedures, and safety requirements; report issues promptly.
• Monitor quality, defects, and downtime; drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and promote teamwork.
