Job summary

National Cart Company is seeking a Shipping Working Lead in Missouri to oversee the Shipping department’s safety, quality, and productivity. The role includes stepping in for the Senior Lead in their absence and driving a well-trained, motivated team.

You will interpret prints, verify quality, monitor production rates, and ensure paperwork is complete. The position requires leadership, adherence to NCC values, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willing to work before/after shift as needed.
• Attendance points of 7 or less to remain in Lead role.

Responsibilities

• Train and cross-train associates within the department.
• Read prints and verify first piece quality for jobs.
• Ensure parts/products meet specifications and know model numbers.
• Monitor hourly production rates and document results.
• Maintain 5S and daily cleaning schedules; keep area neat.
