Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture seeks an experienced Shipping Operations Associate in Taftville, CT. You will perform real-time analysis, coordinate shipping tasks, and assign picking/loading duties to ensure smooth production flow and accurate outbound reporting.

Under the Shipping Supervisor, you will support EOD tasks, maintain knowledge of SAP and Red Prairie, and assist in resolving host-system/WMS issues. Weekend/evening availability is required; starting pay is $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
• Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
• Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Ability to quickly recognize and diagnose productivity trends.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Real time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations (allocation of pick tasks).
• Assigning of picking/loading tasks.
• Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries.
• Support in reporting, researching and resolving interface issues between host system and WMS.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide administrative support to Shipping Supervisor.

o Including but not limited to: Responsible for real time analysis, assisting the coordination and balance of DC Shipping operations. Assists in the balancing of man power for all areas. Assigns picking/loading tasks for all production employees. Supports the Shipping Supervisor to ensure all tasks flow smoothly for the production crew. Accurately records/reports the truck/trailer numbers for outgoing deliveries.
