Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Shipping Lead to perform real-time analysis and coordinate shipping operations at DC Taftville, CT. You will balance manpower, assign picking/loading tasks, and record outbound deliveries while supporting the Shipping Supervisor.

The role requires 5+ years in warehouse management, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie. Flexible hours including weekends/evenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform real-time analysis, coordination, and balancing of Shipping Operations.

• Provide administrative support and maintain system knowledge.

Assists in the balancing of man power for all areas. Assigns picking/loading tasks for all production employees. Supports the Shipping Supervisor to ensure all tasks flow smoothly for the production crew. Accurately records/reports the truck/trailer numbers for outgoing deliveries.
