Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking an ARC Operations Analyst to lead the Shipping and Receiving Dock at the Animal Resources Center. You will oversee animal ordering, receipt, shipment, and maintain USDA documentation and quality-control records, ensuring compliant operations across facilities.

Reporting to the ARC Research Support Manager, you will coordinate with the Dock Technician and OSRF cores, manage inventory, and drive accurate reporting and process improvements in a world-class

Qualifications

• College or university degree in related field required.
• 2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA and AAALAC standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ARC dock operations, ensuring storage and distribution of lab supplies and equipment.
• Process animal shipments, inspect arrivals, and maintain USDA documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels and logs to facilitate reordering and uninterrupted service.
• Coordinate scheduling with approved drivers and act as main dock contact for inquiries.
• Support OSRF cores with equipment movement and storage as needed.
