Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks an ARC Operations Analyst to manage the Animal Resources Center dock operations, oversee animal ordering, receipt, shipment, and maintain USDA records. The role supports OSRF cores and collaborates with the Research Support Team on facility needs.

Reporting to the ARC Research Support Manager, the position requires attention to detail, data analysis, and readiness to prepare reports and manuscripts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or university degree in related field.
• Experience or knowledge of regulatory policies related to animal research.
• Preferred: 1+ years in academic/biomedical research or inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for the ARC dock including receipt, storage, and distribution of lab animal care supplies and equipment; coordinate with facility supervisors daily.
• Order, receive, inspect animal arrivals/shipments; generate delivery reports and USDA documentation.
• Maintain inventory reorder levels and ensure uninterrupted service; document and log supplies and equipment.
