Job summary

Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead and coordinate shipping operations across ASC facilities. You will ensure inbound materials are received, inspected, labeled, stored and distributed to support production and goals.

You will partner with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Production and Customer Equipment teams. This role focuses on improving warehouse organization, efficiency, process standardization and safety compliance, with success measured by

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations and material flow.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret inventory data and drive improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities and drive accountability.
• Excellent communication across departments.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage inventory control processes to maintain stock levels and reduce discrepancies.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to streamline material flow into the warehouse.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices for materials handling and safety.
• Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Conduct regular inspections of received goods to ensure quality standards.
• Oversee heavy lifting operations, ensuring safety regulations and proper techniques.
• Coordinate material transfers and receiving activities across ASC facilities as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish and track KPIs for receiving and inventory.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement and customer service.
• Support all shifts and operational needs to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
