Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking a Shipping Clerk who works with packaging and warehouse staff to execute the production plan and manage shipping/receiving documentation, including railroad planning. You will serve as a resource for SAP, ADC, LIMS and Expeditor.

The role maintains accurate inventory of product, pallets and packaging materials, coordinates purchasing, and supports daily rail/yard operations to minimize demurrage and ensure customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Two-year business or accounting degree with strong computer skills and math abilities.
• Experience in shipping/logistics, warehousing and inventory management preferred.
• Understanding of QA/QC, SQF, GMP HACCP and regulatory directives.
• Ability to multi-task under time pressures and communicate clearly with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates shipments based on sales plans, distribution needs and factory loading operations.
• Initiates and completes SAP, ADC and other system transactions and related documentation.
• Manages production orders and inventory for bulk sugar and packaged materials.
• Maintains accurate inventory records for product, pallets and packaging materials.
