Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company seeks a Shipping Clerk to work with packaging and warehouse teams, ensuring shipments meet customer specifications and are documented in SAP, ADC, LIMS and Expeditor. You will manage inventory accuracy, coordinate railcar loading, and handle pallet creation and labeling.

This role requires a two-year business/accounting degree or equivalent experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to multi-task under time pressures while communicating effectively across

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in business/accounting or equivalent experience.
• Previous shipping, logistics, warehousing and inventory management experience preferred.
• Understanding of product and customer specifications; knowledge of QA/QC, SQF, GMP HACCP and regulatory directives.
• Ability to multi-task under time pressures, analyze and problem solve issues and communicate with all levels of employees and customers to resolve issues and improve productivity.
• Understanding of safety requirements in warehousing and packaging areas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments based on sales plans, distribution needs and factory loading operations.
• Enter and complete SAP, ADC and other system transactions and related documentation.
• Activate production orders, manage batch and palletization processes, and issue finished goods to production orders.
• Manage pallet creation, labeling, and disposal of questionable pallets; oversee railcar loading and sequencing.
• Prepare daily rail activities reports and inbound/outbound rail reports; monitor demurrage and reconcile with BNSF.
• Review customer specifications and resolve shipping issues; document deviations or incidents.
• Coordinate daily loading paperwork with the crew and align with warehouse staff to fulfill orders.
• Compare actual vs planned packaging/loading and adjust the plan as needed.
