Job summary

NEFCO in Ashland, VA is seeking a Warehouse Associate responsible for pulling, packing and shipping products from our distribution facility to customers, vendors, or other NEFCO locations. Reports to Warehouse Lead or Logistics Manager.

You will verify items against ERP/RF, load trucks, operate forklifts or similar devices, ensure correct shipping labels, and maintain accurate paperwork while communicating with management and branch personnel.

Qualifications

• Warehouse role requiring ability to use layouts for planning
• Basic computer skills required
• Positive, hard-working attitude
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently with little supervision
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Overtime eligibility (non-exempt)

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, and ship products leaving the warehouse following proper procedures
• Verify items received against ERP/RF records
• Load trucks and operate forklifts, cherry pickers, or sorting bins
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Ensure correct shipping labels and outbound trucks
• Maintain clear and accurate paperwork
• Communicate consistently with management and branch personnel
