Job summary

Talentify in Sterling Heights, MI, seeks a Shipping Specialist to move goods from storage to loading areas, unload deliveries, and ensure safe relocation to designated storage spaces. This manufacturing role requires forklift operation, loading on a 53' trailer, and experience with inventory checks and warehouse systems.

Expect a first shift from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with Saturday hours. Contract to hire with pay at $20.00 per hour, plus benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and

Qualifications

• Proficiency in forklift operation with 2 years of experience.
• Ability to load equipment on a 53' flatbed trailer.
• Experience with PLEX systems.
• Experience with loading/unloading a truck using a hilo.
• Experience with inventory cycle counts.
• Experience with staging shipments.

Responsibilities

• Move goods from storage to loading areas for transport.
• Unload deliveries and relocate goods to storage areas.
• Manage material handling, stacking, sorting, storing products.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflows and maintain inventory in the warehouse system.
• Assist in shipping/receiving with accurate documentation.
• Ensure forklift areas are free from spills or obstructions.
• Regularly check forklift equipment for faults or damages.
• Use plastic wraps and pallets to stack and package goods.
• Stay up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift procedures.
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
