Job summary

U.S. LUMBER is seeking a Night Shift - Material Handler (Forklift Operator) in Smithfield, NC to load, unload, sort, stage, and move products. You will follow safety policies, operate forklift, and collaborate with team members during Sunday–Thursday nights, 11pm–8am EST.

Starting pay is $20/hour plus benefits; requires 1 year of warehouse experience and high school diploma; forklift cert is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber experience preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Basic math and analytical skills; computer literate (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Team lead or shift supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other machinery.
• Band, wrap, tape product.
• Maintain work area and stay organized.
• Identify tickets, SKUs, UPCs, and reports.
• Stand and work on feet for the shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in an outdoor warehouse environment.
• Follow safety procedures; work in a team environment.
