Job summary

WL Plastics in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Shipping Fork Lift Operator to unload/load products, inspect goods, and store them in the yard. You will operate heavy equipment, maintain a safe work area, and report to the Shipping Supervisor.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of warehouse/manufacturing experience; outdoor setting preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient reading, writing and basic math related to job tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work safely in a production environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating forklift or related material-handling equipment; forklift certification possible.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load customer product, inspect product, and place it in storage yard.
• Operate yard heavy equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Report to Shipping Supervisor at the facility.
• Maintain equipment per company standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Operate equipment safely following company guidelines.
• Participate in safety, health and environmental policies; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate activities with QA and maintenance departments.
• Inventory and load product per shipping orders; label/sort/band as required.
• Provide service to inbound and outbound customers as required.
