Job summary

International Paper in Aurora, IL is hiring a Shipping Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday OT). You will load and unload trailers and railcars using a sit-down forklift to meet daily shipping deadlines.

The role requires 1+ year forklift experience, a strong work ethic, good judgment, and the ability to work with limited supervision. You must follow safety rules, complete the forklift safety check, and coordinate with the Clerk on orders.

Qualifications

• 1+ year sit-down forklift driving experience.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Strong work ethic, good judgement and decision-making skills.
• Perform well with limited direct supervision.
• Knowledge of general computer operations.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and housekeeping rules.
• Fill out Forklift Safety Check Sheet at shift start.
• Load trailers according to Customer requirements.
• Inspect trailers prior to loading and note defects.
• Communicate with Clerk on orders coming down line.
• Fill out tally sheet for each order.
• Any other duties as assigned.
