Job summary

Flexxray LLC in Aurora, Illinois is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support loading and unloading pallets, feed products to lines, and perform shipping/receiving tasks in a busy facility. You’ll keep equipment and work areas safe, organized, and efficient while following all safety guidelines.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, forklift experience (sit-down), basic computer skills, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Forklift experience with sit-down forklift preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Basic computer skills and WMS experience beneficial.
• Attention to detail, good communication and teamwork are essential.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all inbound and outbound trailers.
• Secure loads with shrink wrap and restraints as needed.
• Move products within the facility to support line operations.
• Maintain forklift charging stations and keep work area clean.
• Replace propane tanks and/or plug in forklift to charge.
• Support yard mule operations and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with PM activities for forklifts and related equipment.
• Complete daily forklift checklist and weekly duty checklists.
• Ensure proper pallet handling, storage, and care.
• Feed lines with correct product to run operations efficiently.
• Identify and report safety hazards and process issues.

Description

Do you want to be part of a winning, growing, and innovative company? We are looking for a forklift Operator in the Aurora area. Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading pallets into trailers, while supplying products to the lines to run efficiently, as well as other responsibilities within shipping & receiving. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload all inbound and outbound trailers.
• Secure loads before transportation to include shrink wrapping pallets, use of load restraints and air pillow.
• Transport products to/from different locations within the facility.
• Maintain forklift charging stations, reefers, and mule clean and organized.
• Replace propane tanks and/or plug in forklift to charge as needed.
• Assist with FlexXray’s yard mule operations as directed by management (Note: additional training required).
• Proactively advise management regarding reefers refueling needs & yard mule maintenance issues.
• Support PM activities related to forklifts & yard mule.
• Complete the Forklift Operator's Daily Checklist and additional weekly duty checklists.
• Responsible for proper pallet handling, storage, and care.
• Responsible for feeding the lines with the correct product to run operations effectively.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
• Identify and report workplace safety hazards.
• Report on any issues within the shipping and receiving processes.
• Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Assist with Plant housekeeping and some light maintenance as needed.
• Other duties assigned by management.
