Job summary

Avolta, including Dufry, HMSHost Corporation, Hudson, and affiliates, seeks a Shipping Coordinator to manage inbound/outbound shipments and ensure timely delivery. You will coordinate carrier bookings, track shipments, and maintain documentation across domestic and international routes.

The role requires experience in shipping/logistics, familiarity with TMS/WMS, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Based at a US distribution center with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience supporting shipping, distribution, logistics, transportation coordination, warehouse operations, or inventory management programs
• Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Retail, or Logistics experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments to support distribution center operations and customer delivery requirements
• Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries and manage shipment bookings using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other systems
• Track shipments and proactively communicate delivery status, delays, and exceptions
• Review and verify shipping documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs docs) for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure products are prepared and shipped on schedule
• Maintain accurate shipment records and tracking information in TMS/WMS systems
• Support domestic and international shipping activities ensuring policy compliance
• Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics providers to resolve shipment issues and support timely delivery
• Monitor shipping expenses and identify efficiency improvements
• Assist with inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and shipment audits
