Job summary

The Shipping Coordinator at HUI Manufacturing in Kiel, WI will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments daily, coordinating with Operations and Production, and ensuring shipments meet customer specifications and deadlines. Requires a High School Diploma and 3+ years of manufacturing shipping experience; lifting up to 50 lbs; on-site facility with a focus on accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Requirements

• Must be flexible/available to stay later than the scheduled shift if all daily duties are not completed to ensure HUI’s shipping needs are met
• Full understanding of HUI Shipment Priorities
• Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, customer service and production
• Picks manufactured and commercial items in accordance with individual customer orders
• Ability to problem solve Performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products shipped via freight or third-party LTL carriers.
• Determines shipping needs based on customer, product size and delivery location
• Perform shipping activities such as; checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packing goods for shipment according to specifications, preparing bills of landing, posting weight and shipping charges
• Performs routine, but varied duties in support of manufacturing areas in accordance with standard procedures.
• Maintain necessary files and documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Performs related and peripheral site-specific duties as required
• Participates in inventory cycle counts
• When necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate shipping activities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Summary

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments on a daily basis. This position works closely with both the Operations and Production teams at HUI. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with various customers to determine the specifications and expectations the customer has in regards to their products as it relates to both the shipping and receiving dates. Maintaining positive working relationships with the customers of HUI is crucial to ensure a continuous and long-lasting partnership.
