Job summary

Metals USA is seeking a Shipping Clerk for our Ambridge, PA facility. The Shipping Clerk will perform shipping duties and related paperwork for daily shipments, ensuring accuracy and safety.

The role requires coordinating with third-party carriers, tagging goods, and maintaining shipping documents. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication, math, and record-keeping skills, with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent oral/written/reading communication skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to inspect material for quality conformance with measuring devices.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
• Demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality.
• Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office and Stelpan.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished goods for shipment according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate shipments with third-party logistics and outside carriers.
• Tag and prepare goods for shipping; complete shipping documents (bill of lading) and labels.
• Verify shipments are accurate and undamaged before departure.
• Store materials and supplies in the warehouse per procedures.
• Manage shipping supplies inventories and finished goods inventory.
• Receive deliveries, load/unload using equipment as needed.
• Maintain neat, orderly shipping/receiving records and paperwork.
