Job summary

Permobil, Inc. is seeking an Associate Shipping Clerk in Belleville, IL to verify and prepare orders for shipment, handle time-sensitive shipments, and maintain efficient shipping operations.

The role requires good organizational skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This full-time, first-shift position offers a schedule of 7:00am-3:30pm and may require overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Accurately verifying and preparing orders for shipment using established procedures.
• Preparing and verifying a shipment order with item, quantity and special instructions.
• Processing outgoing time-sensitive shipments using UPS, FedEx and ERP system.
• Replenishing shipping supplies to maintain inventory at workstation.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and reporting safety hazards.
• Collaborating with other departments regarding orders, shipping options, and transit times.
