Job summary

American Products in Springfield, MO is seeking a dependable Shipping Clerk to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization. Starting pay is $20/hr with a Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm shift.

This role helps keep operations running efficiently through accurate paperwork, timely shipments, and safe handling of materials. Responsibilities include preparing outgoing shipments, receiving materials, maintaining records, and supporting 5S in the warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Syteline) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

American Products is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization to help keep operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments using the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods
• Create bills of lading and verify shipments against work orders
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and deliveries
• Sort, package, label, and organize inventory and materials
• Deliver materials to appropriate departments and project locations
• Track and resolve shipment issues, including proof of delivery requests
• Support warehouse organization and 5S initiatives
• Participate in weekly cycle counts and inventory control activities
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records
• Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand dollies, and forklifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Syteline, is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to work safely and follow all PPE and safety requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
