Job summary

American Products in Springfield, MO is seeking a dependable Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. This role supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization to keep operations running smoothly.

Starting pay is $20 per hour with a Monday-Thursday shift 10am-8pm. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, able to work safely, and proficient with MS Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Syteline is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow PPE and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments using cost-effective methods.
• Create bills of lading and verify shipments against work orders.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials.
• Sort, package, label, and organize inventory and materials.
• Deliver materials to departments and project locations.
• Track and resolve shipment issues, including proofs of delivery.
• Support warehouse organization and 5S initiatives.
• Participate in weekly cycle counts and inventory control.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
