Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Responsibilities:

1. Assist supervisor in outlining daily shipping schedules and contacting truck lines for freight pickup.
2. Assist in loading outbound LTL shipments via drayage or direct truck lines, directing forklifts to bring correct materials.
3. Label and count all freight accurately and provide necessary documentation to meet company and D.O.T. requirements.
4. Ship and receive raw materials, inventory, and non-inventory items, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
5. Review inbound and outbound shipments for correct counting and loading.
6. Maintain inventory records using the PRISM computer system.
7. Ensure shipping papers are correctly processed and maintain other records as required by management.
8. Assist in preparing inventory records and cycle counting.
9. Ship materials using A-release/Stock Tag systems and verify counts.
10. Maintain inventory transactions in the Prism system.
11. Load and unload trailers as needed and weigh raw materials during receiving.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

Required: Ability to read and understand instructions and labels, basic math, writing, and data entry skills, strong communication skills.

Preferred: 2+ years shipping experience, hazardous materials handling, 3+ years Microsoft Office, experience with PRISM or other WMS/ERP systems.

Other: Ability to lift approximately 60 pounds, climb heights up to 10 feet, stand/sit/walk for long periods, wear PPE, and have good hand/eye coordination.
