What You'll do as a Shipping Clerk:

1. Assist supervisor in outlining daily shipping schedule and contacting various truck lines for pickup of freight.
2. Assist in loading outbound LTL shipments through drayage or direct outbound truck lines, directing the forklift to bring correct materials.
3. Label and accurately count all freight, providing written or electronic documentation to meet company and D.O.T. requirements.
4. Ship and receive counts, verify all raw materials, inventory, and non-inventory items, apply stickers/labels, and use appropriate shipping documentation devices.
5. Review inbound and outbound shipments by truck and rail to ensure correct counting and loading.
6. File, record, and maintain inventory records using the PRISM computer system.
7. Ensure shipping documents are correctly processed and prepare other records as required by management, including cGMP and ISO procedures.
8. Assist in preparing inventory records and perform cycle counts, verifying and applying inventory stickers.
9. Ship materials using A-release/Stock Tag systems, and maintain inventory transactions in Prism.
10. Load and unload trailers as needed and weigh raw materials during receiving.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required:

• Ability to read and understand written instructions, safety labels, and machine manuals.
• Basic math, writing, and data entry skills.
• Strong communication skills for reading, understanding, and organizing various forms.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of related shipping experience.
• Experience with hazardous materials.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Experience with PRISM or other WMS/ERP systems.

Other:

• Ability to move, carry, and lift approximately 60 pounds; climb heights up to 10 feet; stand, sit, and walk for long periods.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
