Job summary

Staffmark Group in New Iberia, LA is hiring a Shipping Clerk. You will help receive shipments, prepare outbound orders, and keep the warehouse organized. The role requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

We offer weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for overtime during peak season. Must have 1-3 years shipping experience and basic computer skills; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Process all outbound shipments including sorting, logging, delivering, packing and shipping materials and products.
• Determine method of shipping and arrange shipment.
• Pack and label products based on established standards.
• Attention to detail to ensure complete accuracy with each shipment.
• Recognize and comply with health, safety and environmental rules and policies.
• Keep areas clean and organized.
• Report all incidents/accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Looking for Shipping Clerk jobs in New Iberia where accuracy and teamwork keep products moving? This opportunity lets you play a key role in receiving incoming shipments, preparing outbound orders, and helping maintain an organized, efficient warehouse operation.

Job Duties

• Process all outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing and shipping materials and products.
• Determine method of shipping and arrange shipment.

• Attention to detail to ensure complete accuracy with each shipment.
• Recognize and comply with health, safety and environmental rules and policies.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years warehouse/shipping experience
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime hours as needed (including evenings and weekends) during the peak of our holiday season, which is between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Must have the ability to multitask.
• Must have strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with shipping via UPS and USPS is a plus, but training will be provided.

Physical Capabilities

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry items up to 20 lbs.
• Occasionally required to climb, bend, stoop, or kneel.
• Must be able to work efficiently in an occasionally loud environment with exposure to cold or humid temperatures.
