Aerotek is hiring for a Shipping Clerk in Lincolnshire, IL. This on-site role involves processing inbound and outbound shipments, packing, labeling, and preparing shipping documentation.

You will support daily transportation scheduling and maintain inventory accuracy while following procedures. The position requires 1-2 years of warehouse/shipping experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and proficiency with Outlook/Word.

Qualifications

• Audit each shipment prior to packing to verify that all goods match the customer order and documentation.
• Pack and label products according to established standards and shipping requirements.
• Ensure that all required equipment, manuals, and accessories are included with each shipment and match the correct order.
• Prepare shipping and receiving documentation and maintain organized, accurate files for all records.
• Participate in scheduling daily transportation to support on-time delivery and pickup.
• Process all receiving transactions and associated paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with maintaining accurate material inventory levels through proper handling and documentation.
• Support efforts to trace and resolve missing or delayed shipments by providing shipment information and documentation.
• Help maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the shipping and warehouse areas.
• Perform required administrative tasks, including preparing reports and correspondence related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Work overtime as needed, including potential daily overtime and occasional Saturdays, to meet operational needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support overall warehouse and shipping operations.

About this job

The Shipping Clerk performs a wide range of packing, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure that products and materials move accurately and efficiently through the warehouse. This role is based in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled manufacturing and warehouse environment. The position is located at one of two nearby facilities in Lincolnshire, with both sites operating similar manufacturing and shipping operations. The work involves standing and walking for most of the shift, handling materials, operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, and using computers and related systems to process shipments and inventory. Shifts run Monday through Friday, with an early shift typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and an evening shift typically from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and both may require daily overtime and occasional Saturday work depending on business needs. Attire is typical for a manufacturing and warehouse setting, with an emphasis on safety and practicality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnshire, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
