Job summary

Commercial Metals Corp. seeks a dedicated team member to operate in a safety-centric environment. You will receive, inspect, tag, and prepare stock materials, verify shipments, and print production tags. Forklift operation and accurate paperwork are essential to ensure on-time delivery.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, integrity, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safety-conscious industrial environment and wear PPE.
• Operate in various weather conditions including extreme heat/cold.
• Receive, inspect, and tag stock materials with inventory tags.
• Verify shipments against bills of lading and related documents.
• Print production tags and ensure bundle tagging accuracy.
• Tag materials outside and prepare orders for shipment.
• Complete all paperwork and ensure order accuracy.
• Operate a forklift to move materials as required.

What You'll Do

• Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to work in various types of weather conditions which include extreme heat and cold
• Ensure stock materials are received from loader and inspected for uniformity and attachment of inventory tags, SAP tags, and partial tags on open bundles
• Verify incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, etc.
• Print tags on jobs for daily production
• Ensure bundle count and bundle tagging accuracy
• Tagging and flagging materials outside
• Preparing orders for shipment, complete all paperwork, and ensure accuracy of the order to ship
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required

What You'll Need

• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision
• Driven individual with honesty and integrity
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced multi-discipline environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational and listening skills

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
