Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a detail-oriented administrative/warehouse assistant to support basic office duties, inventory, and shipping preparations at our Oklahoma facilities. You\'ll greet visitors, manage calls, and help maintain accurate records in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, strong communication, and familiarity with MS Excel and SAP. You will work with PPE, adapt to weather, and contribute to a safe, efficient operation that

Qualifications

• Safety-conscious in an industrial environment and PPE use.
• Experience with Elcometer to collect mil readings.
• Able to work in extreme heat and cold and varying weather.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Honesty and integrity.
• Knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable processes.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer plant phone lines; represent first impression of CMC.
• Perform basic office duties: calls, emails, and faxes.
• Assist inventory of materials.
• Verify stock materials and SAP tags and bundles.
• Print tags on jobs for daily production.
• Ensure bundle count and tagging accuracy.
• Verify incoming shipments against bills, invoices, and manifests.
• Tag materials and flag items stored outside.
• Prepare orders for shipment and complete all paperwork.

What You'll Do

• Greet visitors, answer plant phone line, and represent the first impression of CMC
• Performing basic office duties like answering the telephone, directing calls, emails and fax.
• Assist in performing inventory on material
• Ensure stock materials are received from loader and inspected for uniformity and attachment of inventory tags, SAP tags, and partial tags on open bundles
• Print tags on jobs for daily production
• Ensure bundle count and bundle tagging accuracy
• Verify incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, etc.
• Tagging and flagging materials outside
• Preparing orders for shipment, complete all paperwork, and ensure accuracy of the order to ship

What You'll Need

• Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to use Elcometer to collect mil readings
• Ability to work in various types of weather conditions which include extreme heat and cold
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision
• Driven individual with honesty & integrity
• Knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable processes and best practices
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Ability to use MS Excel & MS Outlook
• Experience with SAP preferred

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
