Overview

This position involves leading the shipping department's prep and load team. The shipping lead is a working lead role, which requires assisting with shipping cases daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping-related tasks with minimal supervision, including preparing packing slips and bills of lading.
• Assist in crate case packing, parts packaging, and loading cases onto trucks.
• Maintain basic computer skills; training provided as needed.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with truck drivers and team members.
• Conduct routine trailer inspections to ensure compliance with loading requirements.
• Coordinate with shipping personnel and supervisors across shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a shipping clerk or similar role.
• Flexibility to work different hours.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must join Teamsters Local 986.

Compensation

$21.40 - $22.10 per hour
