Position Summary

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the material handling of packing and shipping to customers, as well as employee's business-related shipping and inter-company correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a filing system throughout the day for overnight, 2-day, and 3-day shipments.
• Assist the department with tracking numbers and contact customer service as needed.
• Receive unsold products returned by drivers or sales routes and be designated as Route Returner.
• Maintain open communication with other leads to coordinate daily tasks.
• Perform all departmental tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with schedule; available to work overtime.
• Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of warehouse systems.
• Good problem-solving, math, and reading skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues.

Previous Experience

Experience in distribution centers or manufacturing environments, including packing, receiving, and handling return goods.
