Job description

Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Location: Canton, MO

Pay: $20 - $22 per hour

About the Role:

Hey there! We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team and play a key role in our daily shipping operations! You'll be the go-to person for handling incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring everything runs smoothly. This involves managing shipping paperwork, processing orders and invoices, and keeping everyone in the loop – from our awesome customers to our carriers and internal teams. If you're someone who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and keeping things running like a well-oiled machine, this is the place for you!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Documentation: You'll prepare and manage all those important shipping and receiving documents with accuracy.
  • Inbound Materials: You'll receive and verify all incoming items against purchase orders, and if anything's not quite right, you'll report and document it.
  • Outbound Shipments: You'll package and label shipments, create shipping documents (like bills of lading), and make sure every order meets our customer's expectations.
  • Order Processing: You'll process sales orders and invoices, ensuring shipments are billed accurately and on time.
  • Communication: You'll coordinate with customers, carriers, and our internal teams (Sales, QA, Operations) to provide updates and solve any issues that pop up.
  • Team Support: You'll work closely with our QA and Operations folks to maintain our high-quality standards.
  • Computer Skills: You'll use Microsoft Office and other systems to manage shipping activities, inventory, and reporting.
  • Bonus Points: Experience with Business Central Imperity for order processing and inventory tracking is a big plus!

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Must be able to commute to the job site in Canton, MO, within about an hour.
