Job summary

Harlan Bakeries, LLC is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support the Frozen Warehouse Manager and keep goods moving. The role is on the second shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm) and involves every-other-Saturday work, with duties spanning shipping schedules, reporting, driver check-ins, and paperwork.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication and office skills, and be capable of using Microsoft Office and Excel, with a willingness to learn the ERP system and problem-solve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong planning and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Ability and desire to learn/use our ERP system.
• Critical thinking and the ability to problem solve/troubleshoot challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support shipping schedule and day-to-day operations.
• Run reports and provide status updates.
• Check in truck drivers and route to loading lanes.
• Print pick lists and shipping labels for warehouse team.
• Assist with bills of lading, stock transfer orders, invoicing, scheduling deliveries.
• Complete forms and documents timely.
• Assist with audits and other tasks as assigned.

Description

The Shipping Clerk will support the Frozen Warehouse Manager with keeping goods moving into and out of the warehouse.

Overview

This is a second shift position from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm and includes working every other Saturday.

Job Responsibilities

• Support manager with day-to-day management of shipping schedule;
• Run reports and provide status updates as requested;
• Check in truck drivers and route to specific loading lanes or to dropped trailers in the yard ready for collection;
• Print product pick lists and shipping labels for warehouse team;
• Support manager with all administrative activities related to shipping function including but not limited to creation of bills of lading, stock transfer orders, invoice/billing, scheduling or rescheduling deliveries, communications with retail partners, corporate team, or carriers regarding loads;
• Completes forms and documents timely;
• Assists with audits;
• Perform other required tasks as assigned.
